Chris Le Marchant has nearly 20 years of experience as a regulator. This experience is available to assist other financial regulatory bodies in carrying out their statutory duties. Services include:-

Technical assistance

Chris Le Marchant carried out on-site visits to financial services businesses from 1990 to 2007. He is experienced in training regulators to carry out on-site anti-money laundering and credit reviews to banks. He has also carried out compliance visits to fund managers and custodians. We can assist offshore regulators in establishing on-site visit programmes including drafting on-site questionnaires and other visit material, training staff and carrying out visits on a contract basis.

Drafting services

Chris Le Marchant has drafted rules, policies, procedures and legislation whilst working for the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and has been responsible for negotiating and drafting several documents issued jointly by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, Jersey Financial Services Commission and Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission.

Similar drafting services are available to all regulatory and other public bodies.

Basel II

Le Marchant has been contracted to assist a regulatory body to implement Basel II, liaising closely with other regulators. We can assist other regulatory bodies in their Basel II implementation plans drawing from this experience.
